Speak like God Speaks, Think like God Thinks

Rev Dr Vernon Falls

There's a whole lot more that God has for you.

Sometimes it feels that God doesn't hear you. You pray and you go, "Are you there?"

God hears us. He hears the righteous.

1 John 5:14-15New King James Version (NKJV)

Confidence and Compassion in Prayer

14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

He hears our cries.

Believe God's word because God's word is truth.

He will hear you and deliver you out of your troubles.

Take God's fire into the nations of the world.

A revelation annointing will be revealed in new and unusual way. As you teach God's word, speak as God wants you to speak.

The wisdom of God has been placed upon you. God says, "My wisdom will come out of My mouth." Walk hand in hand and see that many people are going to be set free.

Break the power of spirit of worry in Jesus' name.

Look on to Jesus for He is the author and finisher of our faith. He perfects those things that concern us. Be overjoyed.

Jesus is the healer and miracle worker. Start thanking Him, praising Him, giving Him honour.

Release upon us great abundance.

There's reconciliation of families. He will take care of our children.

Be set free. Break the spirit of attachment.

Don't give up. Don't be discouraged. Rivers of living water will pour out of us. It is not time for us to quit. This is a new day. This is a breakthrough day. It's time to get up and run with God. There's a new annointing and fire.

God hears our prayers. The prophetic annointing has been placed upon our lives. There's going to be signs and wonders. Go forth and speak God's word. God is well pleased with you.

Don't grief the Holy Spirit. Otherwise we miss our in revivals and healing.

Hebrews 2:1New King James Version (NKJV)

Do Not Neglect Salvation

Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.

Pay attention to things we've already heard. We're God's children. We belong to God. Sometimes God tells us over and over again. We hear but we didn't hear. Like our children.

God builds upon what we'd already heard. We need to give earnest heed to. Meditate upon it. And apply it to our lives. It becomes real to us. God won't let us down.

Hebrews 11:6New King James Version (NKJV)

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Without faith it is impossible to please God. Faith towards God pleases Him. Means to trust Him and place confidence in the word of God. God cannot lie because He is the truth. We must believe Him. Faith starts by believing the word of God. If we are not careful, we let it slip. Believe Him. Be fully persuaded so that there's no room for doubt and disbelief.

Act upon it. Demonstrate it. Do it. Be doers of the Word. When we worry, we are not believing. Worry is a form of fear. God gives us power and sound mind. Worry is the opposite of faith. Worry works with fear, doubt and lying spirits. When we worry, we don't trust in God. Cast every burden and every worry upon Him because He cares for us. Worry is a condition of fear in a person's life. Worry is a demon. The devil gives us thoughts after thoughts. The moment we start speaking it, we give it life. We talk about it via phone, pass it from person to person. We sms and whatsapp our worries. Be careful what we hear because we start saying.

We see the worry. It grows. We see the worry as larger than God. But He is greater than any problem.

We're in the world but we're not of the world. We are God's children. Greater is He than those in the world. Put on the new man.

Stop worrying. We pray to release anxities and worries unto God. Pray in tongues to speak to the inner man.

Start thinking like God. God's thoughts are recorded in His word.

Psalm 23New King James Version (NKJV)

The Lord the Shepherd of His People

A Psalm of David.

23 The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want or lack. I'm thinking God's thoughts. In Isaiah, God says His thoughts are higher than ours. He supplies seeds that multiply and increase. Personalise God's word. Think what God says. Counter worries and lies with God's word.

Luke 9:37-45New King James Version (NKJV)

A Boy Is Healed

37 Now it happened on the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, that a great multitude met Him. 38 Suddenly a man from the multitude cried out, saying, “Teacher, I implore You, look on my son, for he is my only child. 39 And behold, a spirit seizes him, and he suddenly cries out; it convulses him so that he foams at the mouth; and it departs from him with great difficulty, bruising him. 40 So I implored Your disciples to cast it out, but they could not.”
41 Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you and bear with you? Bring your son here.” 42 And as he was still coming, the demon threw him down and convulsed him. Then Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the child, and gave him back to his father.

Jesus Again Predicts His Death

43 And they were all amazed at the majesty of God.
But while everyone marveled at all the things which Jesus did, He said to His disciples, 44 “Let these words sink down into your ears, for the Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men.” 45 But they did not understand this saying, and it was hidden from them so that they did not perceive it; and they were afraid to ask Him about this saying.

Mark 9:14-32New King James Version (NKJV)

A Boy Is Healed

14 And when He came to the disciples, He saw a great multitude around them, and scribes disputing with them. 15 Immediately, when they saw Him, all the people were greatly amazed, and running to Him, greeted Him. 16 And He asked the scribes, “What are you discussing with them?”
17 Then one of the crowd answered and said, “Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit. 18 And wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid. So I spoke to Your disciples, that they should cast it out, but they could not.”
19 He answered him and said, “O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to Me.” 20 Then they brought him to Him. And when he saw Him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell on the ground and wallowed, foaming at the mouth.
21 So He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?”
And he said, “From childhood. 22 And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”
23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”
25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it: “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!” 26 Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said, “He is dead.” 27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose.
28 And when He had come into the house, His disciples asked Him privately, “Why could we not cast it out?”
29 So He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting.”

Jesus Again Predicts His Death and Resurrection

30 Then they departed from there and passed through Galilee, and He did not want anyone to know it. 31 For He taught His disciples and said to them, “The Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill Him. And after He is killed, He will rise the third day.” 32 But they did not understand this saying, and were afraid to ask Him.

Matthew 17:14-21New King James Version (NKJV)

A Boy Is Healed

14 And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, 15 “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. 16 So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him.”
17 Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.” 18 And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour.
19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?”
20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. 21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

Jesus gave them (the Disciples) power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases.

Why couldn't the Disciples cast out the demon?
1) Distracted
Mark 9: 14 - arguing

Mark 9:14New King James Version (NKJV)

A Boy Is Healed

14 And when He came to the disciples, He saw a great multitude around them, and scribes disputing with them.

2) Faithless

Mark 9:19New King James Version (NKJV)

19 He answered him and said, “O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to Me.”

Matthew 17:19-20New King James Version (NKJV)

19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?”
20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

Mark 9:22New King James Version (NKJV)

22 And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But IF You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”

Be a faith builder, not a faith buster.

3) Prayerlessness

How do we get a Faith-Lift?
1) Be prayed up

Mark 9:29New King James Version (NKJV)

29 So He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting.”

When did Jesus pray?

Luke 9:37New King James Version (NKJV)

A Boy Is Healed

37 Now it happened on the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, that a great multitude met Him.

What did Jesus do up on the mountain?

Luke 9:28New King James Version (NKJV)

Jesus Transfigured on the Mount

28 Now it came to pass, about eight days after these sayings, that He took Peter, John, and James and went up on the mountain to pray.

Peter and his companion were very sleepy...

Luke 9:32New King James Version (NKJV)

32 But Peter and those with him were heavy with sleep; and when they were fully awake, they saw His glory and the two men who stood with Him.

2) Be humble

Mark 9:21-24New King James Version (NKJV)

21 So He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?”
And he said, “From childhood. 22 And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”
23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe,[a] all things are possible to him who believes.”
24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”

Jesus said: "Everything is possible for him who believes."
Boy's father: "I do believe, help me overcome my unbelief."

3) Be bold to speak up

Mark 9:25New King James Version (NKJV)

25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it: “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!”

Jesus rebuked and commanded the impure spirit.
"You deaf and mute spirit... I command you..."
Pray with a victor mentality, then we pray like a winner.

4) Be willing to give others a lift-up

Matthew 9:26-27New King James Version (NKJV)

26 And the report of this went out into all that land.

Two Blind Men Healed

27 When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, have mercy on us!”

Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up.

Luke 9:38New King James Version (NKJV)

38 Suddenly a man from the multitude cried out, saying, “Teacher, I implore You, look on my son, for he is my only child.

"Teacher, I beg you to look at my son, for he is my only child."
If our next generation dies, that's it for the church. We have to stoop down and lift them up by the hand.

Holding Destiny in Our Hands

Pr Lilian Dorai

What God has put into Mary's hands is Destiny.
God has put His Destiny into our hearts.

When God entrusts something into our hands, He expects us to carry the responsibility to its desired goal.

The destiny of Mary was tied to the destiny of her Son. That bond is called relationship.

Luke 2:25-35New King James Version (NKJV)

Simeon Sees God’s Salvation

25 And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 26 And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. 27 So he came by the Spirit into the temple. And when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do for Him according to the custom of the law, 28 he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said:
29 “Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace,
According to Your word;
30 For my eyes have seen Your salvation
31 Which You have prepared before the face of all peoples,
32 A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles,
And the glory of Your people Israel.”
33 And Joseph and His mother[a] marveled at those things which were spoken of Him. 34 Then Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary His mother, “Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which will be spoken against 35 (yes, a sword will pierce through your own soul also), that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”

Matthew 16:13-16New King James Version (NKJV)

Peter Confesses Jesus as the Christ

13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Simon Peter said, "You are Christ, the Son of the Living God."

1) Christ, Son of the Living God
2) Living God is to be the Lord and Messiah
3) Living God is the Suffering Lord
4) Living God is a relational God

Revival involves:
1) Putting away Unconfessed/unrepented sins
2) Putting away Doubtful habits
3) Requiring Radical obedience
3) Confessing Christ publicly

Eg:
- Welsh revival started by a Bible school student
- Azusa Street revival in California started by the son of an African slave

Who is Jesus to you today?
Do you love Him as passionately as you did years ago?
How do you want to live your life?
