Jesus is coming back and the church has to be ready.
Matthew 28:19New King James Version (NKJV)
19 Go therefore[a] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Mark 16:17-18New King James Version (NKJV)
17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they[a] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
1) Have a passion for souls.
2) Carry the anointing.
Matthew 3:11-12New King James Version (NKJV)
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.[a] 12 His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
John talked about the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire.
Fire of His love, His mercy;
Fire of His judgment.
Acts 2:2-4New King James Version (NKJV)
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Peter spoke and 3,000 were added into the kingdom. Later, 5,000 were added.
Carry the fire of God and be the fire!
The book of Revelation warns of the consequence of a lukewarm Christian.
Exodus 3:2-4New King James Version (NKJV)
2 And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. 3 Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.”
4 So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!”
And he said, “Here I am.”
Moses was a person who was impulsive. When he saw a wrong being done against a Jew, he killed the Egyptian.
He fled when he knew the people knew he had killed somebody. He fled to the backside of the desert--the most remote part.
Yet God in His love, chose Moses.
The bush was burning yet it was not consumed.
It transformed him from a person who was full of excuses and perhaps couldn't speak well to become a passionate and revered leader of 1-2 million people for 40 years.
The Bible also says he was chosen to do a task and he asked, "Who am I to speak to the pharoah?" God chose many times people who are useless in our sight but precious in God's sight.
God changed Moses with the burning bush--fire--encounter.
He was transformed from a person who was hiding from the Egyptian authority to challenge the highest authority.
Moses was also transformed from a person who feared people to a person who was feared. (Exodus 33:9-10; 34:30)
Exodus 33:9-10New King James Version (NKJV)
9 And it came to pass, when Moses entered the tabernacle, that the pillar of cloud descended and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord talked with Moses. 10 All the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the tabernacle door, and all the people rose and worshiped, each man in his tent door.
Exodus 34:10New King James Version (NKJV)
The Covenant Renewed
10 And He said: “Behold, I make a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the Lord. For it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.

We have to carry the power and glory of God.
He made us in His likeness.
He was us to have the same DNA that He has.
1 John 4:17New King James Version (NKJV)
The Consummation of Love
17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.
Another biblical example:
Elijah:
1 Kings 18:24New King James Version (NKJV)
24 Then you call on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord; and the God who answers by fire, He is God.”
So all the people answered and said, “It is well spoken.”
1 Kings 18:39New King James Version (NKJV)
39 Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, “The Lord, He is God! The Lord, He is God!”
Moses: God is a consuming fire.
Elijah: A God who answers by fire, He is God.
Jeremiah:
Jeremiah 20:9New King James Version (NKJV)
9 Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him,
Nor speak anymore in His name.”
But His word was in my heart like a burning fire
Shut up in my bones;
I was weary of holding it back,
And I could not.
Ezekial:
Visions of fire, fire, fire. God had Ezekiel eat a scroll (Ezekiel 3).
Our God is a God of fire.
For us to be ready, our body must be ready to take the holiness, righteousness and awesomeness of God.
All of us have a written destiny and nobody can abort it unless we give the enemy the permission.
Apostle Paul:
He had that one fire encounter with God on the road to Damascus. (Acts 9:17-18) He was transformed from a theologian to one who intimately knew God.
Today, God is looking for His children to know Him, not about Him.
Apostle Paul was in prison and he wrote the Epistles.
He was brought to King Agrippa and he forgot that he was a prisoner and he preached to the king.
Christianity is not a religion. Christianity is relationship with Almighy God.
John Wesley:
"Light yourself on fire with passion and people will come from miles to watch you burn." God set him on fire and the people came to see him burn. He preached more than 40,000 sermons. He also travelled more than 250,000 miles (equivalent to going around the world along the Equator 12 times) mainly on horseback. He personally wrote 5,000 brochures and tracts. He preached up to a few days before his death. He lived up to 88 years old.
His brother, Charles, wrote thousands of hymns.
Jonathan Edwards:
15 minutes into one of his sermons, people started crying, chairs started shaking, people literally saw fire like fire from hell.
You would have felt the fire of God's presence, goodness, and love.
Lindell Cooley:
Worship is to draw in the presence of God like in the book of Revelation.
Nathan Morris:
He grew up in the midst of church. Yet he walked away from God. The Pensacola Revival changes him.
1 Corinthians 3:13New King James Version (NKJV)
13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is.
What is our conduct in church? What is our conduct in our workplace?
Count Nikolaus Zinzendorf:
"My passion is Him and Him alone."
Mark 9:49New King James Version (NKJV)
Tasteless Salt Is Worthless
49 “For everyone will be seasoned with fire,[a] and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt.
The church needs burning Christians--ignited with passion for God.
