Zechariah 4:6New King James Version (NKJV)

So he answered and said to me:
“This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:
‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’
Says the Lord of hosts.

Not by might nor by power but by the Spirit of God

Only the Holy Spirit can make a difference in our lives and through us to the lives of others.

Romans 8:9
9 You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.

The Holy Spirit is a person. He is also the Spirit of Jesus. In us.

Acts 1:4-5
4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about.5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

Jesus commanded them not to do any work until they were baptised in the Holy Spirit.

The early church were so dependent on the Holy Spirit. All their actions were guided by the Holy Spirit.

Prayer always leads us to accomplish His purposes.

We are no ordinary persons. We have one of the persons in the Godhead in us. Every one of us is a carrier of the glory of God. People around us get impacted by the glory of God in us and through us.

Based on Scripture, we are anointed. A Christian means an anointed one.

Isaiah 61:1
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good newsto the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
    to proclaim freedomfor the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,

Ask through prayer. Seek Him.

The Holy Spirit is the spirit of might but He is so tender that He can grief.

Isaiah 11:2
2 The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—
the Spirit of wisdomand of understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and of might,
the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord—

Ephesians 4:30
30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Always guard our hearts.

Matthew 7:22-23
22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

Our whole body should be shining with God's glory.

Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Adore the Holy Spirit, worship Him, extol Him.

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is once but the infilling of the Holy Spirit is continuous.

Always hunger, pursue, long to be more like Jesus.

Ephesians 5:18
18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit,

The Holy Spirit is the source of wisdom.

When there is infilling of the Holy Spirit, there is freshness of testimonies.

God cares for the big things and the small things too. How intimate are you with God?

Worship Him day and night. Worship is about the attitude of our hearts. Bring His kingdom down.

Revelations 4:8-11
8 Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying:

“‘Holy, holy, holy

is the Lord God Almighty,’

who was, and is, and is to come.”

9 Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever,10 the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:

11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
    and have their being.”
