What is the Abomination of Desolation?
Matthew 24:15-16 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Great Tribulation
15 “Therefore
when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’[a] spoken
of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever
reads, let him understand), 16 “then let those who are in
Judea flee to the mountains.
Daniel wrote about the abomination of desolation.
The antichrist
will seat on the mercy seat.
1) Seventy weeks of Daniel (Daniel 9:20-27)
2) There has to be
a temple to desecrate
3) There has to
be an Antichrist or false messiah
1) In 70 weeks, God finished the transgressions.
Daniel 9:23-25 King James Version (KJV)
23 At the
beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to
shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and
consider the vision.
24 Seventy
weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the
transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for
iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision
and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
25 Know
therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to
restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven
weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the
wall, even in troublous times.
Daniel 9:26-27 King James Version (KJV)
26 And after
threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the
people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary;
and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war
desolations are determined.
27 And he
shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week
he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the
overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the
consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
The gap:
Daniel 12:5-7 King James Version (KJV)
5 Then I
Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the
bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.
6 And one
said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How
long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
7 And I
heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he
held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that
liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he
shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these
things shall be finished.
In the last days, the holy people (Jewish people) will lose the war. Because the wrong messiah enters the holy of holies. The Jews receive the wrong messiah and the false prophet. Then they will cry out, "Baruch haba b'Shem ADONAI— Blessed is He who comes in the Name of ADONAI."
Matthew 24:15-21 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Great Tribulation
15 “Therefore
when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’[a] spoken
of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever
reads, let him understand), 16 “then let those who are in
Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him
who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let
him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to
those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray
that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then
there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of
the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Daniel 9:27 New King James Version (NKJV)
27 Then he
shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the desolate.”
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the desolate.”
Daniel 11:31 New King James Version (NKJV)
31 And forces[a] shall
be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they
shall take away the daily sacrifices, and
place there the
abomination of desolation.
Daniel 12:11 New King James Version (NKJV)
11 “And from
the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the
abomination of desolation is set up, there
shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. (3.5yrs)
Daniel 12:8-13 New King James Version (NKJV)
8 Although
I heard, I did not understand. Then I said, “My lord, what shall be the end of these things?”
9 And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the
time of the end. 10 Many shall be purified, made
white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked
shall understand, but the wise shall understand.
11 “And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the
abomination of desolation is set up, there
shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. 12 Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the
one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.
13 “But you, go your way till the end; for you shall
rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days.” (1290+45=1335)
Look for the signing of the peace treaty.
By that time, the temple will be rebuilt already.
The Seven Seals
Revelation 6 New King James Version (NKJV)
First Seal: The Conqueror
6 Now I saw
when the Lamb opened one of the seals;[a] and
I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder,
“Come and see.” 2 And I looked, and behold, a
white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he
went out conquering and to conquer.
Second Seal: Conflict on Earth
3 When He
opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come and
see.”[b] 4 Another
horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take
peace from the earth, and that people should
kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword.
Third Seal: Scarcity on Earth
5 When He
opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.”
So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of
scales in his hand. 6 And I heard a voice in the
midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart[c] of
wheat for a denarius,[d] and
three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.”
Fourth Seal: Widespread Death
on Earth
7 When He
opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying,
“Come and see.” 8 So I looked, and behold, a
pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed
with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with
sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth.
Fifth Seal: The Cry of the
Martyrs
9 When He
opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been
slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. 10 And they
cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You
judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” 11 Then a
white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should
rest a little while longer, until both the
number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be
killed as they were, was
completed.
Sixth Seal: Cosmic
Disturbances
12 I looked
when He opened the sixth seal, and behold,[e] there
was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the
moon[f]became
like blood. 13 And the stars of heaven fell
to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty
wind. 14 Then the sky receded as a
scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its
place. 15 And the kings of the earth,
the great men, the rich men, the commanders,[g] the
mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in
the rocks of the mountains, 16 and said to the mountains and
rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and
from the wrath of the Lamb! 17 For the great day of His
wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”

How will Yeshua return?
Matthew 24:27-31 New King James Version (NKJV)
27 For as the lightning comes
from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of
Man be. 28 For
wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.
The Coming of the Son of Man
29 “Immediately
after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will
not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the
heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the
sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the
earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of
heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He
will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather
together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
The Rapture
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Comfort of Christ’s Coming
13 But I do
not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep,
lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we
believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those
who sleep in Jesus.[a]
15 For this we say to you by the
word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain
until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the
Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an
archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we
who are alive and remain
shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the
air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore
comfort one another with these words.
1 Corinthians 15:51-52 New King James Version (NKJV)
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery:
We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a
moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will
sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Romans 11:25 New King James Version (NKJV)
25 For I do
not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you
should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to
Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.
