Evidence of a Changed Life - Reaching the Lost

Matthew 13:44-46 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Parable of the Hidden Treasure
44 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.

The Parable of the Pearl of Great Price
45 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, 46 who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.

Maybe you weren't looking for Christ because the Lord found you.

But something very valuable was discovered.

The evidence of a changed life is action.

1) The Physical poverty (1st service)

2) The Gospel or Spiritual poverty (2nd service)

Keep the gospel central in your life.

Do not commit the sin of silence.

Let us not turn the great commission into the great omission.

Matthew 5:14 New King James Version (NKJV)
14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

Don't be an undercover Christian.

Let us live our faith out publicly for Jesus.

The surpassing power belongs to God.

We shy away from sharing our faith.

It is always about me, me and me.

It is not about you.

It is about the surpassing power of God in us.

2 Corinthians 4:7 New International Version (NIV)
7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

1 Corinthians 2:4 New King James Version (NKJV)
4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human[a] wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,

Romans 1:16 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Just Live by Faith
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel [a]of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

Power is dunamis or dynamite.

It is powerful and it will change your life forever.

"If I believe in Jesus, I have eternal life."

"If I believe in Jesus, my sicknesses will be healed."

Genesis 1:1-3 New King James Version (NKJV)
The History of Creation
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness [a]was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

The Holy Spirit is waiting for the Word to be released so that He would execute the Word.

Ezekiel 37:4-7 New King James Version (NKJV)
4 Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5 Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. 6 I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.” ’ ”

7 So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone.

In Acts 2, Jesus went up; the Holy Spirit came out; the disciples went out.

Absolutely nothing will happen until you release the gospel.

In the Great Commission, there is the prayer leg and the preaching leg.

We can pray all we want but absolutely nothing will happen until we preach.

The gospel is so precious and important but often times we still don't do it.

Why?

Because we have never truly found the treasure in that field.

If your cup is empty you cannot satisfy somebody else's thirst.

The gospel is available to us and it will change our life.

Ephesians 2:8-9 New King James Version (NKJV)
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

And because we also fear. "What if the person rejects me?" "What if I lose the friendship?"

The answer is in 1 John 4:18.

1 John 4:18 New King James Version (NKJV)
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

Do you know the value of one soul in the eyes of God?

Mark 8:36-37 New King James Version (NKJV)
36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? 37 Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

A soul is a soul that is precious in the eye of God.

We also do not share our faith because we simply do not know how to.

Romans 8:11 New King James Version (NKJV)
11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies [a]through His Spirit who dwells in you.

The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is in you. It is waiting to be activated by the word/for the word to be released.

It is a myth that sharing the gospel is scary.

Stop the excuses.

We do not share the gospel because of a lack of passion.

We are supposed to shine in a dark world.

Be connected to the power source.

The Holy Spirit is in you.

Courage is looking at fear in the face and say "I will do it anyway!"

"Attempt something so impossible that unless God is in it, it's doomed to failure." - John Haggai

Luke 19:1-10 New King James Version (NKJV)
Jesus Comes to Zacchaeus’ House
19 Then Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up [a]and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, [b]make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” So he [c]made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully. But when they saw it, they all [d]complained, saying, “He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.”
Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to thepoor; and if I have taken anything from anyone byfalse accusation, I restore fourfold.”
And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham;10 for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Be ready and be willing to put on the shoes of the gospel of peace.

"Here I am, Lord. Send me."

The Purpose of the Holy Spirit is Power

Acts 1:4-5 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Holy Spirit Promised
4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

The baptism of the Holy Spirit was a unique event where He imparts His power to us.

This is what needs to happen today.

We need a new and fresh encounter with the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God.

There is much more to it than speaking in tongues.

The purpose of the Holy Spirit upon us is power.

1) It authorises us to exercise power and authority.

It authorises us to operate in power and authority.

Acts 1:6 New King James Version (NKJV)
6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”

The disciples were thinking about something else--the cost of going and reaching the world for Jesus, the structures and set ups, etc.

Acts 1:8 New King James Version (NKJV)
8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be [a]witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Jesus says, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you."

Hebrews 2:3-4 New King James Version (NKJV)
3 how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him, 4 God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts[a] of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?

It is the will of God that we not only call ourselves disciples of Crist but also receive the power of the Holy Spirit.

We have the power to destroy the work of the devil.

When we don't demonstrate what we preach, we are illegal witnesses.

2) It authorises us to demonstrate the power of the cross.

1 Corinthians 2:4-5 New King James Version (NKJV)
4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of [a]human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

There is nothing more powerful than to preach the finished work of the cross. The cross of Jesus Christ is finished so that it has power that causes bondages to be broken and the dead to be raised and men and women can serve the true and living God.

We are saved by grace through faith.

It is the Holy Spirit upon us that we can see souls saved.

We need the Holy Spirit because it gives us authority to bring healing and deliverance.

The power of the cross must be demonstrated but God left it to us to prove that Jesus Christ is alive and He can set people free.

Acts 10:38 New King James Version (NKJV)
38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Acts 2:22 New King James Version (NKJV)
22 “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know—

Until you have been baptised with the Holy Spirit, you are certified and approved.

God wants us to be credible witness for Jesus Christ.

Jesus commanded them that they must stay in Jerusalem.

God gave us Jesus as the saviour that we might have salvation.

God gave us the Holy Spirit that we might have power.

Acts 3:19 New King James Version (NKJV)
19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

They were fiercely independent from God.

They had to repent for their self-righteousness, greed, lust and rebellion.

They couldn't let go of what they've got.

God wants you to experience the Holy Spirit.

And He wants to keep filling us because we leak all the time.

We need to submit ourselves to the Word of God and His voice.

We need to seek and be hungry.

Repent from the independent spirit. Repent from your lack of desire.

So that the times of refreshing--bringing back energy, vigour and strength--may come from the presence of God.

The anointing of the Holy Spirit gives you the credibility and credentials to declare that "My God is alive!"

If God can use ordinary people, God is ready to use you.

John 7:37-39 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Promise of the Holy Spirit
37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” 39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those [a]believing in Him would receive; for the [b]Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

But today we have it!

Understanding the Spiritual Body

Pr James Kawalya

1 Corinthians 15:35-44 New International Version (NIV)

The Resurrection Body

35 But someone will ask, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?” 36 How foolish! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies.37 When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else. 38 But God gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body. 39 Not all flesh is the same: People have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another and fish another.40 There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another.41 The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and star differs from star in splendor.
42 So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; 43 it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; 44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.
If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

In spiritual warfare, it is not our bodies that are fighting.

In spiritual warfare, it is our souls that are involved in battle.

So it is our spirits that are in battle.

The bible tells us that we have a natural body and a spiritual body.

The natural body is able to fight only if it has exercised. This means that the natural body has undergone training, the natural muscles gained strength and it is then able to fight.

Likewise, if the spiritual body is to fight, there is something that we need to do. The spiritual body must exercise in order to gain the strength to be able to fight. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood. Our weapons are not carnal but they are mighty in God to pull down strongholds. It is the spiritual body that is going to use the spiritual weapons. It is your spiritual body that is going to put on the armour of God. So we must understand how our spiritual organs operate.

How are our spiritual bodies connected to the physical bodies? Where do they connect with each other?

You have a spiritual body that needs care, training, nourishment.

But you have a body that is lacking today.

You have a physical body that can walk in the natural realm.

You also have a spiritual body that is supposed to walk in the spirit realm.

Your physical body cannot cross into the spirit realm. If you are to hear in the spirit realm, the ears of your spiritual body are to be opened and be developed. If you are to see in the spirit realm, the eyes of your spiritual body must be opened and be able to see in the spirit realm.

Your parents gave you milk and food.

But what about your spiritual body? Who nurtures your spirit to learn to walk, to run and even to fly? Who feeds your spirit that you are now strong and powerful to be able to confront spiritual giants? How old is your spirit? How tall, how wide, and how long is your spirit?

In the body, you can be a small man but in your spirit man, you can be a giant because you have developed spiritual muscles for many years. The bones in your spirit are so strong that you can kick a spiritual wall and it breaks.

Recognise the existence of your spiritual body:

1) Your spirit does not sleep.

God is Spirit. (John 4:24) He neither sleeps nor slumbers. (Psalm 121:4) This includes your spirit. Your spirit is better than your body. When your body is sleeping, your spirit is doing war and is searching in different realms.

2) Your spiritual body does not die.

Your spirit is eternal. It has no beginning and no end.

3) Your spirit records your thoughts, words, actions and dreams.

4) Your spirit judges thoughts and actions.

The bible tells us that your spiritual man is not judged by any man but he judges all things. (1 Corinthians 2:15)

5) Your spirit hosts the kingdom.

The kingdom of darkness is hosted in those that are fallen to darkness in the spirit. Jesus says the kingdom of God does not come by saying, “Here it is.” The kingdom of God is within you. (Luke 17:21) In you, there is a kingdom.

6) Your spirit does not age.

Your spirit does not grow old. If you feed it, it will release the same power to your physical body. Jesus says, “The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63)

So how does your spirit connect to your body and to your soul?

When God created Adam and He breathed into his nostrils, he became a living soul. God deposited all that Adam needed on earth and He put it into his body—He put in a soul. When Satan and all the angels look at you, they envy you because you have a soul which they do not have. The soul is that body that you are given so that you can operate on earth. For demons to operate on earth, they need a soul. When you lend them a soul, then they could walk on earth.

For Jesus to walk on earth, He also needed a soul. That’s why He had to be born like other people in order to walk on earth.

Unfortunately, Satan was not able to be born on earth. If he had been born on earth, he would have dominion on earth. That’s why when you say, “Leave!” he has to leave because on earth you have the authority.

That’s why Jesus tells us to pray, “Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10) For heaven to work on earth, man, with a soul, has to accept the kingdom.

Nevertheless, God still wants man to connect with Him. God also intends for man to keep going to Him and coming down back to earth. But the soul could not go because the soul has to remain in control and rule on the earth.

The physical body could not have access to heaven so He gave man a spiritual body that accesses the spirit realm as the soul accesses the natural realm. The body manifests what the soul produces.

The spirit is intended to keep going in the spirit and communes with God and releases what it sees in the spiritual into the soul of man. The soul then interprets it and translates it into the physical.

Satan is a spirit. Whatever he does is in the spirit and then he looks for a soul to deposit that wickedness in the heavenly places. The soul then becomes an agent of evil.

God works in the spirit. He looks for a man who is ready to commune with Him in order for the spirit to transfer.

Life transfers from God to man through the spirit of the man. The spirit of the man communes with the spiritual and picks up spiritual substance (eg. faith, wisdom, joy, peace, righteousness) and transfers it to the heart of man which then transforms it and sends it to the soul of man. The soul of man then translates it (eg. healing, wealth, marriage) and sends it to the mind of man. The mind of man interprets it and gives it words and actions. Whatever that comes in the spirit is in the form of substance, the heart transfers it into the soul, the soul gives it a body that receives it in the mind, the mind is then able to give it a word or an action.

The body has many systems but three important systems (the nervous system, the lymphatic system and the endocrine system) connect with the soul and the spirit.

How do you know when something happens in the spirit? Your nerves will tell you. Sometimes you do not know what’s happening but the moment you become overwhelmed, tears begin to flow. Your endocrine glands begin to produce positive amino acids and positively charged amino acids called positive peptides start to locate where the faith is being directed to. Positive peptides begin to charge the lymphatic system that functions to transport energy throughout the body.

In the occult, there is this term called the solar plexus of the body. It is not an occultic term, it is scientific.

In the body, we have the cardiac plexuses where a cluster of nerves connect to the heart.

What you find as organs and systems in the body are the same spiritual systems that you find in the human spirit.

When you know how they work and how they connect, you are able to heal your body and to heal other bodies because you know where to direct the energy or the power to.

Your body reacts to what is happening in your spirit.

For example, people with psychosomatic disorders, a disease without pathological diagnosis that is not caused by an agent like bacteria or viruses or even by the fault of an organ. The sickness cannot be explained. All physical sicknesses that start like that, i.e. without an explanation, means that it comes from another realm. In other words, your spirit is drawing bad information and is sending that information to the soul and the soul is affecting your organ negatively. It is affecting your reasoning, your memory, your emotion, and even your imagination.

With such an affected system, you cannot war.

In spiritual warfare, you need the right mood and be charged with the right emotion to have the fighting spirit. A crushed spirit dries up the bone but a cheerful heart is good medicine. (Proverbs 17:22) A man's spirit will endure sickness, but a crushed spirit who can bear? (Proverbs 18:14)

The kingdom of God is described with emotions. The kingdom of God is joy, peace and righteousness in the Holy Spirit. (Romans 14:17)

If you are drawing power or life from the spiritual kingdom of darkness, it will bring darkness. If you are drawing it from the kingdom of light, it will bring light.

You can measure the amount of light but there is no way to measure darkness. Darkness means lack of energy or power. That means there is no life.

If your spirit accesses a realm where there is no energy, where there is a void or a vacuum, you will say that you are feeling empty.

Jesus says He comes into the world as light, so that whoever believes in Him may not remain in darkness. (John 12:46)

If power comes from the spirit and it finds the generator sick, what happens then? Power is not transformed into the way that it should be used. So it is wasted energy.

For example, you receive the miracle. But when it comes to your heart, there is no circuit. You get the dreams and visions and God speaks and in the spirit you have the spiritual anointing, but the heart is unable to transform it because it is faulty.

Have you ever tried to charge a battery and it is not charging? The problem is not with the charger. The problem is with the battery.

Stop telling God that He is the problem. God says He sends power but when it reaches the battery, the battery does not convert it.

One day God looks at the battery and says, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” (Ezekiel 36:26)

As the battery has walls, the heart has walls too. If one of the battery’s walls is damaged and broken, the whole thing is faulty. Do you have a faulty heart? When the heart is faulty, the spiritual body is not connecting with the soul. The spiritual body picks power from the spirit and wants to transfer power to the soul but the power cannot be converted.

In conclusion, for your spirit body to help you in your pursuit of your destiny, you need to change the state of your heart. The condition of your heart may be damaging your spirit. That’s why your spirit is not able to function as it should.

For us, the body is willing but the spirit is unwilling.

But for Jesus, the spirit is willing but the body is just weak. (Matthew 26:41)

O Lord, resurrect and reconnect my systems—my spirit, my soul, my body. I pray for healing and reconnection. Check my heart and all parts of my heart. Lord, I give you my heart for the healing of my soul and the deliverance of my spirit that I may stand as a complete man. Come Lord Jesus with the power of resurrection to resurrect my systems. All my systems—every system of my spirit, my communion, my conscience, my emotions—reject witchcraft, sorcery, disease, fear, pain, poverty and shame, and refuse every spiritual substance of darkness. I command them to leave in the name of Jesus. Today I am rising in my spiritual man in power, in strength, in understanding, in wisdom, in knowledge and in the fear of God. I have power, joy and peace in me. In the name of Jesus, rekindle every lump in my spirit to give life and light as power to heal my heart, soul and body. I rejoice in the Lord for my healing, deliverance and I rise in victory. I pick, receive and hear victory in my spirit. O Lord, let me convert faith into victory, love, power. O Lord, let me convert from just faith into boldness and confidence. Thank you, Jesus. We give you glory. Rise within me, life and all spirits of God. Rise within me, the kingdom of God. Rise within me, the joy of the Lord. I will rejoice with the Lord all the days of my life. I will not die but will live and proclaim the goodness of the Lord to the next generation. I rejoice in the goodness of the Lord. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.
