The current state
The 5 prevalent signs:
1) The supersign - Israel has
become a nation. The re-gathering of the Jewish people back to their homeland.
Jeremiah 30:1-5; Ezekiel 34:11-24; Ezekiel 37; Zechariah 10:6-10
2) Surging apostasy - departure from the Lord as the church age progresses. Doubt and rejection of God's word and truth. Belief is a process of disciplining after your master.
3) The desire for a Middle Eastern Peace process paves the way for the prophesied 7 year peace treaty (Daniel 9:27) 70 years means a new generation; a new beginning. It is not about Jerusalem being a sore point. Middle East is also the supplier of gas and oil. Europe needs it. Russia wants to supply it. Syria is the concern. Israel becomes the centre of all focus. Spiritually it is a place of dispute. Lucifer wants to take the place for himself.
4) Globalisation - a return to Nimrod's vision of one world rule. All the signs are here... technology, economic, weaponry, media, blackmail power of international agreements and embargoes plays into the hands of a world dictator.
5) The last act - We are caught in a spot in time. The salvation of the world is entering its last act on this massive drama. Prophecy backs this up.
The Jews missed Jesus Christ the first time.
The Lord comes and goes and if you are not ready to catch Him, you will miss Him.
The Lord wants us to seek and pursue Him. Only then He can be relatable to us.
For a woman, it is life or death. The slightest complication, the baby dies and the mother suffers.
Questions that we should ask:
1) What are the signs of birth
pangs that we must look out for? We must know them so that we can identify them
when they happen. So that our feelers are up. We need to know the time is nigh.
2) What must I do to prepare for the signs?
Birth pangs refers to a sudden onset of sorrows and great travail before something good comes out of it. It is going to effect politics, the earth, the skies, socio and economic that leads to Jesus Christ's second coming. Pain perceives something good. It increases in frequency and intensity... until the Lord comes.
Jesus uses the words "the beginning of sorrows."
Isaiah 13:6-8 New King James Version (NKJV)
6 Wail, for the day of the Lord is
at hand!
It will come as destruction from the
Almighty.
7 Therefore all hands will be limp,
Every man’s heart will melt,
8 And they will be afraid.
Pangs[a] and sorrows will take hold
of them;
They will be in pain as a woman in
childbirth;
They will be amazed at one another;
Their faces will be like flames.
The earth breaks down.
Sin causes something inside us to break down.
God genetically made us perfect to live forever.
Adam sinned.
Genesis 6:11 New King James Version (NKJV)
11 The earth also was corrupt before
God, and the earth was filled with violence.
And sin multiplied exponentially.
Genesis 6:1-8 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Wickedness and Judgment of Man
6 Now it came to pass, when men
began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, 2
that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and
they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.
3 And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive[a] with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” 4 There were [b]giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
5 Then [c]the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent[d] of the thoughts of his heart was only evil [e]continually. 6 And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7 So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
Then God gives the flood. In the flood the deep was released. God completely renovated the earth. Rapid fosilisation took place and there came out black gold.
The birth pangs signify the close of Fallen Man's dominion, giving rise to that of another.
What is being birthed forth?
5 - Man is opening his arms to Yahweh to receive His grace to work in our lives
700 - The concept of complete conception of what God is doing
70 - The revelation of what God is creating
7 - The number of completeness and perfection, both physical and spiritual
5777 is a symbol of man opening his arms to God's completed work and perfection and God is pouring out His grace.
It is the culmination of the prayer of Christ: "Thy Kingdom come..."
Jesus' Olivet Discourse (Matthew 23:37 to Matthew 24:3)
Matthew 23:37-39 New King James Version (NKJV)
Jesus Laments over Jerusalem
37 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one
who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted
to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings,
but you were not willing! 38 See! Your house is left to you desolate; 39 for I
say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in
the name of the Lord!’ ”
This is a major portion of scripture that outlines the setting of the end times. Jerusalem before desolation (AD70) and Jerusalem after desolation (1948) when its people see regathered again. Watch the word Jerusalem as Jesus is speaking to Jerusalem's children.
Matthew 24:1-3 New King James Version (NKJV)
Jesus Predicts the Destruction of
the Temple
24 Then Jesus went out and departed
from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the
temple. 2 And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly,
I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be
thrown down.”
The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age
3 Now as He sat on the Mount of
Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these
things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
Jesus' Response:
4 Stages
Stage 1: the onset (precursor)
Many 'Christs' described as
deceiving his flock.
We will hear of wars and rumours of war.
See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.
Stage 2: Major marker (Daniel's peace treaty; The unveiling of the Seals)
Nation arises against nation and
kingdom against kingdom.
Accompanied by famines, pestilence and earthquakes in diverse places.
These are the beginning of birth pangs.
Stage 3: The Tribulation (The beginning of sorrows escalates)
They will deliver you up to
tribulation and kill you.
Hated by all nations for my name's sake (anti-Christendom in diverse places); widespread offense, betrayal and hate.
The rise of false prophets deceiving many.
Lawlessness will abound. Love of many will grow cold (the "Bury God" movement will culminate to fruition)
The gospel will be preached in all the world against great opposition and persecution.
Stage 4: The midpoint of peace treaty (Great tribulation; Trumpet and bowl judgment)
Abomination of desolation according
to Daniel.
Those who are in Judea flee. The Judeans run to the mountain.
Great tribulation.
The time will be shortened for the elect's sake.
Sun darkened, moon gives no light. Stars and heavens shaken.
The Son of Man comes with great power and glory.
Sounding of trumpet and gathering His elect from the four winds.
The end.

- The recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel by a
world superpower (December 2017).
Based on the above, are
we at the cusp of Stage 2?
Great Middle Eastern
War?
So what was Jesus
referring to as nation against nation and kingdom against kingdom?
Three unfulfilled wars
in Israel’s horizon
1) Psalm 83 war (nation arises against nation)
- Israel expands its territory and land banks.
- Israel weakens its neighbours and annexes lands like
Syria.
- Damascus destruction (Isaiah 17).
- Israel doesn’t need walls and security.
- Israel needs a peace treaty for economic reasons.
- Israel becomes rich.
2) Gog and Magog (kingdom against kingdom?)
- Conglomerate of Turkey, Russia and Iran who lost their
Syrian advantage.
- They attack for plunder.
- They attack a place without walls and fortifications.
- They utterly destroyed by fire and brimstone from God.
- It takes 7 years to burn their weapons for fuel.
Meaning this war is soon after the peace treaty begins.
3) Armageddon
Daniel’s 70 weeks
Daniel
9:24-27 New King James Version (NKJV)
24 “Seventy
[a]weeks are determined
For your
people and for your holy city,
To finish
the transgression,
[b]To make
an end of sins,
To make
reconciliation for iniquity,
To bring in
everlasting righteousness,
To seal up
vision and prophecy,
And to
anoint [c]the Most Holy.
25 “Know
therefore and understand,
That from
the going forth of the command
To restore
and build Jerusalem
Until
Messiah the Prince,
There shall
be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks;
The
[d]street shall be built again, and the [e]wall,
Even in
troublesome times.
26 “And
after the sixty-two weeks
Messiah
shall [f]be cut off, but not for Himself;
And the
people of the prince who is to come
Shall
destroy the city and the sanctuary.
The end of
it shall be with a flood,
And till the
end of the war desolations are determined.
27 Then he
shall confirm a [g]covenant with many for one week;
But in the
middle of the week
He shall
bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the
wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until
the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured
out on the [h]desolate.”
- The prophecy is about Israel and Jerusalem and
its sanctuary.
- Each week refers to 7 lunar years.
- First 69 weeks refers to rebuilding of Jerusalem to
Messiah being cut off.
- The clock stops at crucifixion.
The last week or
7 years requires the same 4 conditions for Daniel’s prophecy:
- There has to be a people in Israel.
- There has to be a Jerusalem in which
to build a sanctuary.
- There has to be a world leader like Cyrus or
Caesar who determines Jerusalem’s status as a city for the Jewish
people.
- There has to be a temple to offer sacrifice and
offering.
These last 7 years is
referred to as the final act and involves a 5th condition:
- A peace covenant.
Do we have the 5
conditions for the last 7 years of Daniel?
Today the powers that control the Middle East are between the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf originally (and still colloquially) known as the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and America.
What is our
posture?
Where is
your compass pointed?
Do we love
our lives more than eternity? (Matthew 16:25)
What do you
understand by 'blessing' in this text?
Revelation
1:3 New King James Version (NKJV)
3 Blessed is
he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those
things which are written in it; for the time is near.
It must be
God all the way.
Disciples
of Christ had their eyes pointed towards Jesus. They gave everything in order
to be with Him for eternity.
Matthew
10:39 New King James Version (NKJV)
39 He who
finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.
Are you
ready for the end times?
Where is
your compass pointed?
