Proverbs 20:26-29 New King James Version (NKJV)
26 A wise king sifts out the wicked,
And brings the threshing wheel over them.

27 The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, Searching all the inner depths of his heart.[c]

28 Mercy and truth preserve the king, And by lovingkindness he upholds his throne.

29 The glory of young men is their strength, And the splendor of old men is their gray head.

Have a prophetic ear.

Proverbs 20:8 New King James Version (NKJV)
8 A king who sits on the throne of judgment
Scatters all evil with his eyes.

1 Timothy 2:1-2 New King James Version (NKJV)
Pray for All Men
2 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.

Proverbs 16:12 New King James Version (NKJV)
12 It is an abomination for kings to commit wickedness,
For a throne is established by righteousness.

The church has the answer for the nation.

Spiritual maturity begins with our:

1) Thoughts

Philippians 4:8 New King James Version (NKJV)
Meditate on These Things
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

Romans 12:2 New King James Version (NKJV)
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Psalm 1:2-3 New King James Version (NKJV)
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord
And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He shall be like a tree,
Planted by the rivers of water
That brings forth its fruit in its season
     Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.

Think good things about our nation.

2) Words

Proverbs 18:21 New King James Version (NKJV)
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue,

And those who love it will eat its fruit.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue.

Pray for the unbeliever to have an encounter with our Saviour.

Hebrews 2:14-16 New King James Version (NKJV)
14 Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. 16 For indeed He does not give aid to angels, but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham.

We have the power and the authority.

3) Actions

James 2:26 New King James Version (NKJV)
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Faith without works is dead.

4) Attitudes

Matthew 25:14-30 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Parable of the Talents
14 “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. 15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. 16 Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. 17 And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. 18 But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.

20 “So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’ 21 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ 22 He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’ 23 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

24 “Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’

26 “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. 27 So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. 28 Therefore take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.

29 ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Have a humble attitude when we approach God in prayer.

5) Reactions to painful experiences

Luke 23:34 New King James Version (NKJV)
34 Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”[a]
And they divided His garments and cast lots.

Jesus prayed for forgiveness for those who had a grudge against Him.

Acts 7:54-60 New King James Version (NKJV)
Stephen the Martyr
54 When they heard these things they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth. 55 But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, 56 and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”

57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord; 58 and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul. 59 And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” 60 Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Stephen prayed for forgiveness.

6) Desires

Colossians 3:1-2 New King James Version (NKJV)
Not Carnality but Christ
3 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

Seek things which are above.

7) Relationships

We have to walk in unity.

Have an intimate relationship with the Lord and walk in love. Do not be part of ungodly activities.

Acts 2:42-47 New King James Version (NKJV)
42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. 44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.

46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church[a] daily those who were being saved.

The early church lived in communion with fellow believers.
Psalm 1:1 New King James Version (NKJV)
BOOK ONE: Psalms 1—41
The Way of the Righteous and the End of the Ungodly
1 Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly
Nor stands in the path of sinners
     Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

Proverbs 13:20 New King James Version (NKJV)
20 He who walks with wise men will be wise,
But the companion of fools will be destroyed.

Walk with the wise, the prayer people, who have compassion and love for God.

As a church, you have the answer.

Seek the Lord. Build the wall with prayer.

God, forgive us. Forgive my judgment.

Do not belittle yourself. You have the power, the anointing, the ability to fight spiritual warfares.

If the church is divided, the nation is divided.

The world is in darkness. You be the light of the world.

Lord, help us to know who we are. We do not see yourselves as extraordinary persons.

2 Chronicles 7:14 New King James Version (NKJV)
14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Your name is recorded.

Isaiah 33:22 New King James Version (NKJV)
22 (For the Lord is our Judge,
The Lord is our Lawgiver,
The Lord is our King;
He will save us);

Malachi 3:9 New King James Version (NKJV)
9 You are cursed with a curse,
For you have robbed Me,
Even this whole nation.

Plant a seed for a change in the nation, like Abraham--a sacrificial offering. [Editor's Note: Abram's blessings rested in his “seed.” His blessing was to become a great nation, to have a great name (or reputation), and to possess a land which God would give to him and his descendants.]

We have the answer for this nation.

Forgive us, O God. As a church, we repent in our land.

Righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a disgrace, a shame.

Lord, forgive all the corrupted people in this land.

Church, pray like never before.

Nullify every plan of the enemy, every plan of wickedness in the name of Jesus.

Take away the wicked from the king and his throne will be established in righteousness. Remove every evil and wickedness in the name of Jesus.

We pray for righteoussness and godliness in this land. Thank You for healing our land in the name of Jesus.

Forgive every wickedness in the name of Jesus. We speak life to this nation.

Lord, forgive us on behalf of this nation. Have mercy, O God!

The destiny of [this nation] is in God's hands!

Lord, you can change [this nation]!

Your mercy is all we seek, O God!

Our future is in Your hands, O Living Saviour!
