Prophetic Fatherhood

A lot of pastors are afraid to let go.

There's no place for grandparenting in the church.

There's a place for grandparenting in your home.

Why is that?

Grandparents should have very important role in the church.

A lot of churches fail in this issue of succession.

We need to intentionally pass on the baton, the vision, strategy to the next generation.

In many churches, when young people arise, they rid of the old ones.

Every generation is relevant and has value and is important to project the values and culture of that generation.

Honour the older people.

Each generation has its place in the body of Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:45 New King James Version (NKJV)
45 And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

We in Christ are not just human beings. We are a life-giving spirit. Where we go, we impart life.

Romans 8:11 New King James Version (NKJV)
11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies [a]through His Spirit who dwells in you.

The resurrection power of Christ dwells in you and is quickening your eyes, limbs, being and radiating the life of God.

Everyone of you can be a father or mother in the house.

The secret to transforming Malaysia is when the older generation knows how to bless the younger generation and when the younger honours the older generation.

God has appointed the church to restore families in the world.

The story of the Prodigal Son is really about the father revealing the father's heart to the world.

We need to be loving fathers and mothers to nurture and grow our children in love.

Our parents tend to be very legalistic.

We tend to tell our children off rather than affirming them.

Matthew 3:17 New King James Version (NKJV)
17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Matthew 17:5 New King James Version (NKJV)
5 While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!”

God Himself says, "This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased... Hear Him."

A magnanimous father releases the son, and not control and hold on to them.

Those who have responsibilities be empowered to fulfil the responsibilities.

If people complain and gossip, you stand up for your spiritual children.

David's life reflects a lack of a father figure.

King David didn't lack leadership qualities.

But a good leader doesn't necessarily make a good father.

David's own father was a poor father to him. David did not have a good role model.

Poor fathers will produce Absaloms.

God had to be David's father but he did not learn the qualities of a good father.

Do you know how to care for and father your leaders?

*Command = care for, nurture

Isaac was strong enough to fight his father.

But that was the level of trust that he trusted in the integrity and faith of his father.

Many people focus on missions.

We need to have the Father's heart for the nations and the sons and daughters all over the world.

Model the qualities of a good father to your children.

Life is not about ministry.

Live out life. Share your life with them. Share your failures. Be human.
