Know God's Heartbeat, Stand Up and Be Doers

We must realise our DNA from Jesus. Each and every one of us should be a godly leader.

Even if you feel you don't lead anyone, you should let Jesus lead your life personally, partnering with His Holy Spirit and into the things of the Spirit. That's what living by the Spirit truly means. Every one begins with himself. Let Jesus lead the way.

The kingdom of God is likened to a mustard seed. Each of us has mighty potential in us.

God wants us to be able leaders.

Leadership is one on one.

Positive thinking is nothing like faith. Faith is insane. If someone slaps your face, give the other cheek. Don't be a forgiver; be a giver. Faith is for the crazy in the eyes of the world. Positive thinking is child's play. Leadership is child's play.

There are many inefficient types of leadership. Therefore, churches are often late in following Jesus.

Acts 1:6-8 New King James Version (NKJV)
6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be [a]witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

I recall when Jesus sighs and says, "Oh, ye of little faith! You generation of doubters and unbelievers."

Jesus had given them the truth that the size of faith is the size of the mustard seed.

Jesus was complaining that they could not get it.

"When I was talking about the hypocrisy of the Pharisees, you thought about the yeast in the bread."

Jesus is thinking of the nations and how the gospel would spread.

Acts 1:9-11 New King James Version (NKJV)
Jesus Ascends to Heaven
9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

Jesus had just vanished before them. The disciples were just staring.

Considering God's heartbeat, you and I should not be slow.

Philip could have been a little late. The eunuch could have gone to the bathroom.

This time, the men of Galilee are in Jerusalem already.

We all know the spirit of sonship. We're sons (and daughters).

As a father, I want my children to be partners whether in ministry or business.

I want our relationship to grow.

The difference of the timing of getting it is just a split second.

We are His wives. (The church is the Bride of Christ)

Do you know how powerful it is to grow out of the spirit of sonship into wives?

When He says, "I am giving you power," He means authority.

Leadership is not a skill; leadership is relationship.

Mommy says no, daddy says no. Mommy says yes, daddy says yes.

When daddy has said something, mommy will not transgress it. Wives are to submit.

We do not have authority enough to twist God's Word.

I will submit to my husband, Jesus' authority.

All good things happen in Christ.

We know God is the Source of all things.

But many of us are waiting for God to give us signs. We procrastinate in deciding things that await our decisions.

It is time for the Bride to speak.

Tell Him what you want.

Esther did not ask for anything for herself; she asked for her people.

Prayer is often misused as an illegal cave for hiding.

Don't use prayer as your shield or as an excuse.

Concerning church matters, we need decision makers. Come out of our prayer closets.

We need more boldness and courage. We do not need more knowledge.

Acts 1:15-17 New King James Version (NKJV)
Matthias Chosen
15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the [a]disciples (altogether the number of names was about a hundred and twenty), and said, 16 “Men and brethren, this Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus; 17 for he was numbered with us and obtained a part in this ministry.”

By this time, Jesus has been physically absent from among them.

What makes a leader is, he's standing up when he's needed. Charisma and gifts are additional. It is the courage to clarify, speak up and move things forward and make things change. Now, that's leadership.

God is not in the business of choosing the capable; He is in the business of choosing the available.

James probably stood out more than Peter. But Peter stood up in the time of the church's need.

Indonesia has 215 million of souls. What's 200,000? But that was enough to help the churches to open their eyes.

It's time to stop "asking" God. Leadership or leading people to Christ is standing up and go.

It's time to stop conferencing and start doing.

Be doers. All that you've known, put them into practice.

Jesus loves Malaysia.

Leadership is:

1) Knowing God's heartbeat at almost the exact same time as the heart of God beats.

2) Standing up when you are most needed, especially when you are the only one available to do what God wants you to do. Our eyes should be fixed on God's will and people's need. You cannot be a leader at all if you are self-conscious. Fix your eyes on Jesus and you become unaware of your own limitations. Be available and gifts and charisma will be added.

And then you will be released into doing things you think you could not do.

It is a risky business trusting young people. We think they have not seen life enough.

At 30, Jesus became the senior Shepherd of the entire world.

I'd rather the young make mistakes and be relevant for their generation.

Jesus was neither old nor young. It was right timing and right age.

How much more or how late more do you want to wait?

Who should I copy? Who should I pattern my church with?

"Here I am. Send me."

For Peter to stand up, he was risking persecution from his peers.

Having meetings after meetings is the bottleneck of revival.

In the hands of the incapables, they become the incredibles.

Leadership is about raising people and it is risky business.

Keep trusting even in failures.

When you trust, you trust. Let go and let God.

The heart must dare to trust.

Leadership will get people raised and people will get the job done.

The thing about entering a new season is leaving the old behind. Change is not change until it hurts and it's risky. If we don't, we will die slowly.
